Who We Are
The world is in search of hope, in search of something to believe. People seek it in all types of venues: sports, careers, family, good looks, nature, just to name a few. And they all have one thing in common...all these hopes will eventually fail. However, we believe that there is one true, lasting and living hope - Jesus Christ.
We are a church that is evangelical and reformed. We believe that the gospel of Jesus Christ is the only hope for our world. We meet in homes for small group Bible studies and prayer, and we meet weekly for our gathered worship. You can read more about our worship services here.

Our Purpose
The purpose of a lighthouse is to guide and provide safety to travelers: to keep them on the right course. That is the same purpose for our written vision and mission statements - to keep our church on course to glorify God in all we do.
Vision
We exist to glorify God and faithfully love our neighbor with minds, hearts, and hands engaged because of the hope we have in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Mission
We do this by making disciples of Jesus Christ through life in Biblical community where the Gospel of grace is powerfully taught and exhibited.
Our Values
The values of Living Hope are those things that we hold dearly - very broadly that is cleary the Scriptures. However, these values are broken down a bit more to give you an idea of what type of community we are.
Gospel
We believe that the grace of Jesus Christ is vital throughout the Christian life. We do not just share the Gospel to introduce people to Christ, but we preach it daily in order to live lives that glorify God.
Biblical Growth & Change
We value personal transformation, but we believe that lasting change only comes Biblically. It is generated from a growing depth of understanding who one is in Christ and a deepening love for and knowledge of Christ. In this change we become more like Christ as we die to sin, and live more for him.
Christ-Centered Worship
We strive for our corporate worship to be God-glorifying, Christ-centered, biblically saturated, Spirit-led, reverent, edifying, and joy-filled. Paul Tripp wrote: "Corporate worship is designed to instill vertical hope where horizontal hope has been dashed." However, we also believe worship is more than a corporate gathering, it involves all of life and is what we were designed to do. It is our ultimate end, and it is good.
Community Living
Christianity is a way of life. We are not isolated individuals seeking to achieve something, but we are a group of people connected through union with Christ and called by the Lord to live in community for the benefit of each other and to the glory of His Name.
Grace-Centered Outreach
Though our outreach may take many forms (e.g., ministries of mercy), the grace of God will be the motivation, and we will seek to share that grace and hope with all we meet. Therefore, we are evangelical not only in the specific, but broad sense in that we believe people must hear the good news of the gospel to be saved.
Kingdom Mindset
We are not alone; we are denominational and are connected to others in our denomination. We are also ecumenical; we will gladly labor in the Gospel for the glory of God with all believers in Christ. We will live by the saying "in essentials unity, in non-essentials liberty, in all things charity." We will give ourselves away for the sake of making God's invisible Kingdom visible. One implication of this is that we will be actively involved in church planting.
Our Core Beliefs
Living Hope is a member of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), a denomination holding to the historic Christian faith, committed to planting new churches in North America, and ministering the gospel around the world.
God
We believe that there is one God, eternal and self-existing in three persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) who are the same in substance, equal in power and glory. He is the Creator of all things and made all things for His glory, and He is still active in His creation. (Genesis 1:1, Jeremiah 10:12, Romans 11:36)
The Scriptures
We believe the Bible is the written word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error (inerrant) in the original manuscripts. The Bible is the revelation of God’s truth and is infallible and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16, 17)
Sin
We believe that sin is rebellion against the Creator. It is any lack of conformity to the Law of God in act, habit, attitude, outlook, disposition, motivation, or mode of existence. Because of this sin, the world is broken and without true hope apart from Christ. (Genesis 3, Romans 3:10-18, Ephesians 2:12)
Humanity
We believe that all people are created with dignity by virtue of being made in the image of God. Yet, all people are also in a state of sin and rebellion, and are thereofre unable to save themselves apart from God's mercy and love. (Romans 3:23-25; 6:23, Ephesians 2:1-3)
Salvation
We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, and in Christ alone. It is not achieved through any effort on the part of mankind, but is solely the work of Christ. (Ephesians 2:4-10)
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who through His perfect life and sacrificial and substitutionary death, atoned for the sins of all who will trust in Him, alone, for salvation. We believe that Jesus, our Redeemer, was raised for our justification, and ascended into the heavens. There He sits at the right hand of the Father Almighty, continually making intercession for His people, and governing the whole world as head over all things for His church. We believe that Jesus will return, bodily and visibly, to judge all mankind, to receive His people to Himself, and to renew all things. (Hebrews 1:1-4, John 1:1-18, 1 John 4:9,10, Revelation 21:1-7)
Holy Spirit
We believe that Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to indwell and empower believers, to convict the world of sin and righteousness, and to glorify Christ. (John 14:16,17; 16:8-15)
Church & Kingdom
We believe that God is calling people into His family, called the Church, and that local churches are where He calls us to grow, learn, serve, worship, and minister. Our church is just one expression of the universal church (all those churches throughout the world that profess the true gospel of Jesus Christ). We believe that the church is the visible expression of His body and in it we are to pray, preach His word, sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, and participate in the sacraments. Sacraments are signs and seals - they are visible representations of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and they confirm our relationship with Him. We believe He has given two sacraments to the church: Baptism and the Lord's Supper. (1 Corinthians 11:25,26, Colossians 3:15-17, Ephesians 1:22,23)
